台風で開催が危ぶまれていた巡行は無事に昨日開催されました！！
一日遅れですが、その模様をご紹介しますね。

まずは、もちろん長刀鉾！お稚児さんが乗っています。10歳の男の子ですが、この7月の一か月は京都で一番偉いお人になっています。
鉾はとっても背が高いので、引き気味で全体を撮ってみました。木の陰から登場するところです。
お稚児さんのお母さま方も心配そうに見守りながら歩かれてる姿もパチリ。

その他にも、たくさんの鉾や山が通っていきます。だんだんと終わりに向かうにつれて雨がひどく土砂降りに・・・。お衣装がぺったり体に張りついてしまいながら、びっしょりぬれても鉾や山をひく人たち、舞う人、奏でる人。ほんとにすばらしかったです。

私の大好きな蟷螂山はビニールカバーで覆われていて、カマキリ君には出会えませんでした。でも、大切に守ってあげることが長く続くためには必要なんですよね。

“きもの白”で祇園祭ツアーを開催して初めての雨の巡行でしたが、こんな機会はめったにないので貴重な体験だったなぁと思っています。

People were worried about the typhoon, but fortunately parade of decorated floats (Yamahoko Junko) was held as it was planned. A dressed up child who is selected as “living god” (Chigo) during the Gion festival, is on Naginata float that goes the head of floats every year. Even though he is a child, he is a person in a high position in Kyoto city during the festival.

祇園祭には、色々な別名があり屏風祭とも鱧祭とも呼ばれます。
昨日は、素敵な屏風をご紹介したので、今日は鱧料理をご紹介します☆
宵山の日の夕飯は毎年、プーさん店長さんの子供のころから知り合いのご飯屋さんへ、お客様をご案内しています。

そこでは、毎年たっぷり鱧尽くしのコースを美味しく頂いています。今回は頭以外すべて頂いたといってもいいぐらい色々な部位を、それぞれに合った調理で美味しく頂きました。とっても手間がかかるので、美味しくてもなかなか一般的には出てくることのない肝や浮き袋、たまご、白子も美味しい日本酒と楽しいお話でおなかの中に入っちゃいました♪

I am going to introduce a part of dagger tooth pike conger’s course of dinner that we had with our customers at Gion festival’s eve. In general, boiled dish, sushi and soup are served, but this restaurant also served milt and air bladder that parts you don’t usually get to eat since it takes time for food preparation. It was served every part of dagger tooth pike conger except its head.

昨日入り口だけご紹介した譽田屋源兵衛さんの中にもご案内です。商品の数々はお見せできないので、素敵なお庭と鷹図をご紹介します。

祇園祭で熱気あふれる京都からご紹介します☆
まずは、月鉾！通りの反対側からパチリ。歩行者天国前なのでびゅんびゅん走る車のあいだから撮ってみました。この背の高さ離れて撮っても先っぽが切れてしまいました。
そして、四条傘鉾、とても歴史のある鉾だそうですよ。背高のっぽの鉾に比べると可愛らしいサイズですが、とても趣があって素敵です。
次は蟷螂山。このブログをご覧いただいている方はよくご存じだと思いますが、私の一番のお気に入りです♪でも、明日からの悪天候に備えてビニールがかかっていて、カマキリ君に会えずとっても残念でした。

最後に山鉾ではないのですが、昨年は一度展示をやめられていた譽田屋源兵衛さんの前にある大迫力の鯉達です。金色の子を見つけると幸せが舞い込んでくるそうですよ☆
