Next year is the year of the monkey in Chinese astrological calendar.
We introduce the monkey’s mascot.
Crepe textiles are used in the face and ears. New textile called “Shukarakuenmon” of Tatsumura Textile Co., Ltd. is used for Kamishimo.
Kamishimo is a ceremonial dress worn by samurai.
For a headgear, Sounjibundaikire is used. It is one of textiles that woven arabesque design in gold or silver background.
The cloth is all pure silk. Its round face is very adorable and it makes us smile.

ろうけつ染めでぞうさんを描いた可愛い帯です。じっと見つめる表情が何とも言えないですよね。前柄は長いお鼻からびゅっとお水を出しています！！
紬や小紋に合わせて、お出掛けしたら注目の的間違いナシです♪

This month event is “A first-class artisan’s works～Haori・Coat～　～kawaii-obi～”
This obi is Rouketsu-zome* Nagoya-obi of Elephant.
*Wax-resist dyeing method is one of dyeing methods that it is drawn with melted wax, dyed it, and removed the wax. By drawing with wax, it creates a unique atmosphere.
